The 29th World Congress of the International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy will take place at the University of Lucerne from 7-13 July 2019.
The overarching theme of the 2019 congress is “Dignity, Democracy, Diversity” and these three terms – and the relations between them – will provide a main focus. There is, however, no requirement for proposals to centre on these topics – we welcome submissions on all legal philosophical, theoretical and jurisprudential issues, as well as on interdisciplinary directions, novel approaches and new areas of enquiry. A list of current workshop proposals is available here.
We would be delighted to receive proposals from you, and to have the opportunity to welcome you (or welcome you back) to Lucerne next summer. We would also be extremely grateful if you could circulate the Call for Papers to colleagues, friends and contacts within your own networks. We are particularly keen to accept proposals from young scholars, including PhD candidates and advanced graduate students. Deadline: 31st December, 2018.
Further information can be found on the congress website at www.ivr2019.org. Should you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to contact: lucernaiuris@unilu.ch.
