Pazko Igandetik hasita 46 egun aurretik Errauts eguna da eta aurreko aste buruan Inauteriak ospatzen dira. Aurten otsailaren 10 eta 11an ospatuko dira, asteburuan. Halere, asteartean ere txikienak kalera irteten dira mozorrotuta jai hori ospatzera.
Zapatuan, konpartasa eta kalejirak egoten dira, herriko “Oñatza” dantza taldeak antolatuta. Kalejira honetan mahi duten herritarrek parte hartu dezakete. Izan ere, inauterien aurretik, zapaturo topatzen dira Errekaldeko lokaletan eguerdiko 12tan, dantza horiek prestatzeko.
Desfileak, musikak, antzerkiak eta giro paregabea izaten dira abiapuntu, Oñatiko Kultur Batzordeak antolatutako Inauterien egitarauan.
Gipuzkoan, Inauterien Jaiak 1936ko Gerra Zibilaren ondoren debekatuak izan ziren. Herri gutxi batzuek Udaberriko Jaiak bezala ospatzen zituzten, gainerakoek ospatzeari uko egin ziotelarik.
Debekuaren amaierarekin bat, ospakizun horiek berpiztu egin ziren. Batzuek kutsu urbanoagoa zuten (desfileak, karrozak, mozorroak...) eta besteek, aldiz, tradizionalagoa (Lantzeko Inauteriak, diru-eskeak, dantza tradizionalak eta bestelako konpartsak burutzen ziren).
Oñatin inauteri urbanoa berreskuratzen da mozorro originalen eta hainbat konpartsen parte hartzearekin. Aurten ere animatu oñatiko karnabaletan parte hartzera eta, bide batez, Euskal Kulturaz zertxobait gehiago ikastera!

CARNAVALES DE OÑATI
46 días antes al Domingo de Pascua es miércoles de ceniza, el fin de semana anterior a éste se celebran los carnavales. Este año se celebrará entre el 10 y 11 de febrero, es decir, en fin de semana. Sin embargo, el martes también suelen salir los más pequeños con sus disfraces a celebrar este día.
El sábado suele haber comparsas con kalejiras, organizadas por el grupo de dantzas “Oñatz”. En esta kalejira pueden participar todos los que quieran, ya que se suelen hacer ensayos en los loscales de Errekalde cada sábado a las 12:00, antes de que que llegue la fecha.
Desfiles, música, teatro y un ambiente inmejorable son las características que recogen este día organizado por el Departamento de Cultura de Oñati para carnavales.
En Guipúzcoa, con la Guerra Civil de 1936 se prohibió por completo la celebración de los carnavales. Solo unos pocos pueblos lo celebraban como las Fiestas de la Primavera, mientras que las demás comarcas dejaron de celebrarlo.
Después del fin de esta prohibición, se reiniciaron estas fiestas y algunos incluso añadieron rasgos urbanos: desfiles, carrozas, disfraces… En otros pueblos, sin embargo, se ha mantenido el tradiciónal carnaval. Como por ejemplo, los ilustres carnavales de Lantz (Navarra); dignos de comentar. Así como los bailes tradicionales y otras comparsas.
Los Carnavales de Oñati han recobrado el toque urbano, con disfraces muy originales y muchas comparsas. Este año animaros a celebrar los carnavales con los oñatiarras y a aprender un poco más sobre nuestra cultura vasca!

CARNIVALS OF OÑATI
46 days before Easter Sunday is Ash Wednesday and during the weekend Carnival festivity is celebrated. This year it will be held in February the 10th-11th, that is, during weekend. However, on the previous Tuesday youngest people often go out with their costumes to celebrate this day in town.
On Saturday, there are usually comparsas along with kalejiras, organized by the group of dancers "Oñatz". In this kalejiras all of those who want to participate can join previous rehearsals every Sarturday at 12 pm in the properties of Errekalde; so that anyone can be part of them.
Parades, music, theatre and an unbeatable atmosphere are the characteristics of this festivity organized by the Department of Culture of Oñati for carnivals.
In Guipúzcoa, within the 1936 Civil War the celebration of carnivals was completely forbidden. Only a few towns celebrated it as the Spring Festival, while other districts stopped celebrating it.
After the end of this prohibition, these festivities were reinitiated and some even with a more urban trail: parades, floats, costumes... In other towns, however, the traditional carnival has been maintained. For example: the illustrious carnivals of Lantz in Navarre which are worth commenting; or the traditional dances and other comparsas.
The Carnivals of Oñati have recovered the urban touch, with very original costumes and many comparsas. This year, we encourage you to celebrate carnivals with the people of Oñati and learn a little more about our Basque culture!
