OÑATI COMMUNITY

WEBINARS

1. Gender Matters

The “Gender Matters” Brown Bag Webinar Series is an Oñati Community (OC) initiative that aims to open up a friendly space to discuss gender-related issues.  In particular, the Series seek to celebrate women’s and girls’ achievements, raise awareness of continuing gender inequalities and violence around the world, and discussing gender-related issues.

Three webinars will be held on a regular basis each year:

  • in March, to celebrate International Women’s Day (8 March)
  • in November, to coincide with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November)
  • in July, as an intermediate date (to remember that every day is Women’s Day or to include discussions of other gender identities

The webinars will have a friendly format of 1h30 each and will provide an opportunity for members of the OC to come together to discuss and share research topics and/or projects. Everyone is welcome to organise a seminar by sending an email with a tentative title, a short description of the topics and the speakers to Barbara Giovanna Bello and Susana Arrese at the following email addresses: info@onati.communityand barbaragbello@gmail.com.
