Ambika Kohli has recently completed her Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Her Ph.D. thesis title is 'Gender, Class and Modernity: Reproductive Agency in Urban India'. She will like to thank her Ph.D.'s supervisors and examiners. And, of course, IISL (Onati) which was the first stepping stone of her research’s career.
She did her Maters’ dissertation under the guidance of Professor Deborah Brock. The title of her Master’ dissertation is Sex Selection and Abortion in India: Some Implications for Indian Women. It was during this time when she was introduced to the core of research methodology, research ethics, and literature review. This paved the way for future research prospects and ideas. Further staying in Onati was also a culturally rich experience where she learned about Basque and Spanish culture. Overall, staying in Onati was a great learning experience both in academic and cultural context.
That's wonderful news! Congratulations!
Thanks a lot!
